The annual Stoke Golding Stakeout has grown year upon year since the first one we held in July 2003 when around 20 aircraft attended. In 2010 we had well over 100 visiting aircraft and hundreds of foot visitors who enjoyed traditional aviation at grass roots as it should be. 

After last year we realised that the event has grown to such a size that we cannot continue to hold it on the South side of the airfield and after a lot of discussions (and beer) we have decided that the entire event will be moved to the North side where we have acres more space.

This provides far more opportunities, better facilities and a substantial increase in safety margins. Hopefully this will result in a great weekend for everyone.

The Stakeout will have the same proven format with a full weekend fly-in, camping over, food and refreshments both days, guaranteed weather (good), a hangar party (well 'marquee party actually!) and hog roast on Saturday evening with live music from not one but TWO bands, The Decade Runners and the Siberian Eel Hounds. On Sunday the enormously popular Arden Trad Jazz Band will do the honours along with the legendary double act commentary of Swain and Wakeling. Wear drab clothing and avoid eye contact with these guys or life may not be worth living...

We have some spaces for trade stalls at very keen rates so if you would like to be part of this unique event please get in touch by phone or email. 

We are also looking for volunteers to help out with the event, especially setting up/breaking down and most importantly COOKING! No payment (the clue is in the word volunteer) but an unforgettable weekend guaranteed! Contact us early as the places fill quickly!
